Qualification Success

We are extremely proud and pleased to announce that Matthew has now obtained the Equity Release (ER1) and Long Term Care (CF8) Qualifications and becomes one of the few Financial Advisors to be able to offer advice in both of these specialist areas.

Matthew is quoted as saying ‘As we live in an ageing population I am delighted to have obtained these qualifications, as it now means I can provide advice to either clients or their representatives, in these quite confusing areas. The end result is that clients can enjoy their later years, taking away any worry about the financial implications, as with proper planning, clients’ objectives can be met.’

‘Many individuals find they reach retirement and their home has a significant value when compared to their other ‘wealth’ held in savings and investments. Equity Release is a way of allowing clients to raise money against the value of their home, to obtain either a lump sum or a regular income, and more importantly, they would not need to move house. It is, however, a complex subject and it is vital to take independent financial advice before committing to such a scheme.’

‘With improvements in healthcare, many individuals are now living well beyond what is often the ‘average’ life expectancy, and as such, may find themselves in a position where they can no longer look after themselves, or they suffer with conditions which require professional care above and beyond that which the immediate family can provide.

There are specific policies which can provide insurance against the costs of the long term care, and also those which can help to pay for care home fees, should the occasion arise.

Equity Release and Long Term Care advice can help individuals plan for the future so that their latter years can be spent in a way chosen by them, and the key to this is planning.’

For further information and advice on either of the above subjects please contact Matthew who will be happy to discuss the options with you.
