The 2010 Virgin London Marathon was held on 25th April, and Capel Court is extremely proud to have been corporate sponsors of Stuart Millar who ran this year’s marathon to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds.
The first London Marathon took place on 29th March 1981 and was first established for people to have fun and to provide a sense of achievement, in addition to raising money for sporting and recreational facilities in London. Since then, the London Marathon course has changed quite drastically meaning the route is now much faster and flatter than when the race first took place 29 years ago.
